"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
Psalm 119:105
When you start reading this one, you may think that I've given up devoting and gone into advertising - or construction. Not so! Keep reading to see where I'm going with this. Yes, we are planning to begin a series at the Greensboro Advent Christian Fellowship on "How to Study the Bible." (It begins this coming Sunday, April 27 at 6:00 - and I would like you to come and/or pray for us!) But even as I prepare the "How to's", I've had to remind myself - and now I'm reminding you - that what matters most is not so much HOW we study the Bible but that we DO it. I am going to offer some ideas on how we can get more from our reading and how to make the connection between what we read and daily life but all those ideas and suggestions won't amount to a hill of beans if we don't actually READ the Bible.
Let me assure those of you who are new to this devotional that I don't usually hit you over the head with a 2 x 4 but there's simply no getting around this one. If you don't want to wander around in the dark, bruising your shins (or worse!), you have to get into God's Word! So let me encourage you, there's no time like the present to flip the switch, open the Book and let the light shine!
